“The Road To The Final Four” Comes To Anaheim For The Sixth Time

The NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Selection Committee today selected the Big West Conference and Honda Center in Anaheim as hosts of the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball West Regional.

“We’re thrilled to once again team with the Big West and NCAA for another prestigious event at Honda Center,” said venue President/Chief Executive Officer Tim Ryan. “As annual hosts to the John R. Wooden Classic and the Men’s and Women’s Big West Tournament, we are certainly fans of basketball and couldn’t be happier about bringing another world-class event to Anaheim!”

It is the sixth time since 1998 that the Big West and Honda Center have teamed up to host “March Madness” and “The Road To The Final Four.” The two partners hosted men’s basketball regionals in 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2011. In 2008, the NCAA awarded first and second round tournament action to Anaheim.

"The Big West is excited to partner with Honda Center for the sixth time to be a part of such a thrilling event.  In addition to working hand-in-hand with the arena on the Big West Conference Basketball Tournaments, this is another wonderful opportunity to continue grow the relationship between our two organizations," said Big West Commissioner Dennis Farrell.

The NCAA West Regional, featuring four teams and three games, will be played on Thursday, March 27 and Saturday, March 29, 2014. The winner will advance to the Final Four at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Ticket information for the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional will be released at a later date.
