Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center and Great Park Ice Join Honda Center in Achieving GBAC Star™ Facility Accreditation

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) has awarded STAR™ facility accreditation to Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) and Great Park Ice. The gold standard for prepared facilities, GBAC is a division of ISSA. The two facilities join Honda Center, home of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, in receiving the industry’s highest-level outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation. Under the guidance of GBAC, ARTIC and Great Park Ice have implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention at their facilities.

To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, the facilities are required to demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures. With this, we’re assuring transit riders can visit ARTIC without feeling any added concern for their health or safety.”
As the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation, GBAC STAR™ helps organizations establish protocols and procedures, offers expert-led training and assesses a facility’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program verifies that ARTIC and Great Park Ice implement best practices to prepare for, respond to and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.
